Frequently Asked Questions

How do your Smart Fire Extinguishers work?

Our Smart Fire Extinguishers 3 sensors to automate the Monthly inspection! Note, that the Annual Inspection cannot be automated and still must be performed by hand.

1. An optical sensor reads the gauge and validates the extinguisher is properly pressurized

2. An obstruction sensor ensures that the extinguisher is unobstructed and that no cart, pallet, or gurney has been left in front of it.

3. A weighted hook and tamper detector validate the fire extinguisher is in place and is of the appropriate weight.

Together, these devices not only satisfy the monthly inspection – but allow users to receive alerts in real time when extinguishers are blocked or removed, allowing them to respond immediately to emergencies or compliance violations.

However, if our devices are damaged due to external factors, such as natural disaster, vandalism, or fire – the client is responsible for the replacement cost.

How does your system fill out paper inspection tags on the extinguishers?

Per NFPA 10, 2010 (which CMS uses) allows for digital records generated by computerized monitoring systems for Fire Extinguishers to replace the Monthly paper tags on fire extinguishers.
Note that your extinguishers paper tags should still note the date of their
annual service.

However, if our devices are damaged due to external factors, such as natural disaster, vandalism, or fire – the client is responsible for the replacement cost.

If a device fails, how is it replaced?

We provide a 100 coverage warranty for all devices due defect or normal wear and tear – including batteries- so long as our clients are in a testing agreement. To make sure that repairs can be made quickly, we provide a stock of spare parts and devices to our customers with their initial shipment.

However, if our devices are damaged due to external factors, such as natural disaster, vandalism, or fire – the client is responsible for the replacement cost.
